Biography

Iva Kevra is an award-winning actor and filmmaker based in Dublin, Ireland.

 

Iva’s journey into the arts began at the age of 10 in her hometown of Pula, Croatia, where she was introduced to the stage at the Istrian National Theatre. There, she honed her craft as part of a Drama Group, performing in a wide range of plays. At 19, Iva continued her studies at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Serbia, where she earned both her BA and MA in Acting.

 

Among her many theatre and television roles, Iva is best known to Balkan audiences for her portrayal of Krista Avakumovic in the TV series Black Sun (2017), available on Amazon Prime. She has also built a strong presence as a voice-over artist, notably voicing the iconic character Katara in the Serbian version of Avatar: The Last Airbender for Nickelodeon, further demonstrating her versatility and range.

 

In 2024, Iva expanded her creative vision by writing and directing her debut short film, Love of Magdalena. The film garnered widespread acclaim, winning 22 prestigious awards and receiving 19 nominations at international film festivals. Among these were the Independent Shorts Awards, Vienna International Film Awards, Best Shorts Competition, Around Film Festival Berlin, Red Movie Awards, and the Hollywood Blvd Film Festival.

 

In addition to her work in film, Iva has directed a series of music videos, showcasing her creative versatility and ability to bring unique visual concepts to life.

 

With a robust portfolio of acting, directing, and producing, Iva’s passion for storytelling, meticulous attention to detail, and dedication to her craft continue to define her career. Whether in front of the camera, behind the scenes, or in the studio, Iva approaches every project with a fresh perspective and unwavering commitment.
